Salaries will vary by establishment and location. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) numbers show that full time gaming managers were paid a median annual figure of $46,820 in 1999. The lowest ten per cent earned less than $26,630, and the highest ten per cent earned approximately $96,610.

Gaming supervisors administer gaming operations and workers in an assigned area. Circulating among the game tables, they make sure that all stations and games are attended to for each shift. It also is common for supervisors to interpret the casino's operating rules for clients. Supervisors may also plan and organize activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

Gaming supervisors must have obvious leadership qualities and above average communication skills. They need these abilities both to supervise workers accurately and to greet members in order to boost return visits. Quite a few casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor's degree. Despite their educational background, however, most supervisors gain expertise in other wagering occupations before moving into supervisory desks because an understanding of games and casino operations is important for these employees.
