A number of job tasks of gaming managers, supervisors, and surveillance officers and investigators do not demand line of contact with casino games and players but in the scope of their functions, they are required to be capable of managing both.

Gaming managers are in charge of the full operation of a casino's table games. These assessment abilities include collating the P...L of table games and slot machines, understanding factors that are driving economic growth in the USA etc..

Salaries will vary by establishment and locale. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) stats show that full time gaming managers earned a median annual wage of $46,820 in 1999. The lowest ten % earned less than $26,630, and the highest ten % earned over $96,610.

Gaming supervisors administer gaming operations and personnel in an assigned area. Circulating among the game tables, they see that all stations and games are manned for each shift. It also is accepted for supervisors to interpret the casino's operating policies for clients. Supervisors could also plan and arrange activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

Gaming supervisors must have obvious leadership qualities and A1 communication skills. They need these talents both to supervise staff adequately and to greet clients in order to establish return visits. The Majority of casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor's degree. No matter their their educational background, however, quite a few supervisors gain expertise in other gambling jobs before moving into supervisory areas because an understanding of games and casino operations is essential for these employees.
