Gaming supervisors administer gaming operations and employees in an assigned area. Circulating among the tables, they ensure that all stations and games are manned for each shift. It also is common for supervisors to interpret the casino's operating rules for gamblers. Supervisors could also plan and organize activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

Gaming supervisors must have leadership qualities and top notch communication skills. They need these talents both to supervise staff properly and to greet clients in order to establish return visits. Nearly all casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor's degree. Regardless of their educational background, however, many supervisors gain expertise in other wagering jobs before moving into supervisory positions because knowledge of games and casino operations is important for these workers.
